Repair is where a product has become damaged or unusable, and required additional work to bring it back to the preferred standard. This could be anything from a returned item missing components, through to items damaged in transit, or even incorrectly manufactured.
Reworking is any additional activity required to make a product suitable for the end user – this may include repackaging, relabeling, or alterations to the product itself.
